Professional re-stringing includes string advice, fingerboard cleaning and re-oiling, re-stringing and minor nut adjustment as needed. All instruments : Price : £15 + strings.
Professional setup of every component necessary to give optimum tone and playability, including nut, saddle, trem, truss rod, machineheads, fingerboard cleaning & re-oiling, fretdress, instrument clean & wax. Guitars, Mandos, Banjos etc : Priced from £40 + strings. [Only one level of setup is offered - see FAQs]
​Violin family - inspection, including nut, saddle, bridge adjustment, instrument cleaning / rosin removal, pegs, minor bridge and bow work as required : Priced from £60 + strings. [Bridge replacement, if required- to be discussed].
Loose binding and similar minor repairs; replacement bone nut, bone saddle : All instruments : Priced from £30.
Broken headstock - partial or full, acoustic / electric, including finish repairs and restringing, full inspection for contingent damage : All instruments : Priced from £90 + strings [Replacement bone nut, if required - add £30; full setup, if required - add £30.]
Bridge replacement - all bridges are handmade per instrument in either Ebony or Rosewood; individually compensated bone saddle & full setup in included. Priced from £120 + strings.
Sound hole repairs, including underside reinforcement and blending in. Priced from £60.
[Note - exact colour matching is generally unachievable, but I strive to blend in the repair as much as possible].
Fingerboard replacement, including hand fabrication, radiussing, standard dot inlays (incl. side dots) in MOP or abalone, fitting. Rosewood, ebony, RB, selected alternative woods.
All instruments, Priced from £160, depending on wood choice. [NB - There are certain woods I do not work with due to toxicity and/or rarity - happy to discuss your requirements.]
Re-fretting : All instruments, nickel/steel, brass : unbound : from £90; bound : from £120 (speciality fretwire at additional cost). Stainless Steel : add £50.
Partial re-fretting available - email to discuss.

Fretted-to-fretless : available, incl. replacement nut/saddle/pickup reversal etc - email to discuss. General guide : c£120
Neck Reset - including fret dressing, re-finishing as required, new bone nut and saddle, full setup, new strings, instrument clean and wax. NB - turnaround can take several weeks due to glues etc.
Acoustic Guitars - Priced from £250, depending type of neck joint and degree of finish repair required. [All other instruments - email/call to discuss.]
Full rebuilds, all instruments - call to discuss. Prices can range from £200 - £600 depending on the level of damage, type of guitar and tonewood prices at the time.
Finish Repairs - some finish repairwork is undertaken - dent repair, scratch removal, partial refinishing (e.g, to neck), headstock lacquers - shellac (French Polish), Nitro, Acrylics - email to discuss. As a rule I do not undertake full re-finishing (but can refer you to refinish specialists). Priced from £20 .
Electronics - jacks, pots, re-wires, earthing/grounding/foiling, pickup repairs, replacement, circuit mods etc. Priced at £30ph + parts. Email to discuss.
